This is the first time in almost 13 years that I know what I have has a name. After many doctors and infinity of hormones terapies , I discover through the internet that I am a example of POC. After my daughter was born 12 years ago, I though that having periods every six months was normal. I always feeling depress, tired, fat and sad. I went to my doctor with all my complains and he told me that everything was on my mind. I go home with a receipt for hormones (clomid, provera, etc) and felling worst. After 8 months without a period, and a miscarriage I went to a new Doctor and requets a vaginal ultrasound, and there was my problem. My ovaries show many tiny dots ,like a strand of pearls. My doctor said that this is not anything to worry about and send me home with anticonceptive pills. She said that because my age (35yrs) this is the treatment for this. I use the pills for 3 months and did not fell better, I always feel sick , and gain 15 pounds. I quit the pills and doesnot have a period for 9 months. I did not go back to my Dr. because it seems that nobody knows what to do with me. If somebody reads this and think can gave me some advise I will appreciate it. Sorry for my english but I speak Spanish.Thanks...
