Zowie, at 1800 calories, you're still in starvation mode. For your size, your basal metabolism is higher than that. However, because of the energy intake, your body is not getting enough. The result is that it slows down it's metabolism to conserve energy, and prevent you from starving to death. That's why you're gaining wait on reduced calorie diets, and one factor for the low energy you feel (there are other factors, too).

See if your insurance would pay for a consult with a dietitian to figure out your minimum intake to keep you out of starvation mode.
