Abdominal pain - help!

Ok, I have reached my limit I think. I really need help; I know this may seem off topic but I need to know if there is some kind of connection.

I have had pain around where my gall bladder is on and off for a couple of years, but steadily for the last year. It's the kind of pain that is hard to pinpoint; it sometimes seems like it's around my side toward my back. Sometimes it's lower than my gall bladder. I have been to so many different doctors and no one can really figure it out. I have had an abd. ultrasound, every blood test imaginable, a vaginal ultrasound, CT scan, and a HIDA scan of my gall bladder. My gall bladder isn't functioning (fills but doesn't empty - no stones), my gastro wants to remove it, but he's trying to determine if it's the gall bladder or the sphincter beneath it causing the pain. That's one part of the scenario; I just found out that my gall bladder is swollen and so is my "right renal collecting system." The ultrasound of my right ovary shows that it is larger than my left; the volume of it is 10.9 ml as opposed to 6.1 ml. Everything on my right side seems bigger, and that is where my pain is.

I am so upset, I am so tired of being in pain. My question is this. I've recently come across information on adhesions but I'm having a hard time finding an answer to the question of "could this be related to my PCOS?" or just a coincidence? How are adhesions discovered - only through Lap? Do they show up with any other procedures? Does anyone else have pain like this with PCOS? And if this isn't caused by adhesions, any other ideas what might be causing it? It doesn't seem to be related to when I eat or anything; it's just constant. And it's really messing with my otherwise sunny disposition, just ask my fiance! I'm seeing my gastro again tomorrow, along with a new gyno (I'm such a lucky girl, two exams in one day!) and I want to be as prepared as possible.

Please let me know if you have any ideas, I'm at such a loss.

Thanks everyone.

Tracy
