Hi Zowie!
Everything I've read has said to eat little bits when you're hungry
instead of making your body wait and wait and wait (feast or famine!). I
keep milk in the fridge at work and just have a glassful when I get
hungry, or I have some nuts (or peanut M & Ms) when I have the true
munchies.
Also, I don't know if this is true in your case, but I read somewhere
that some absurd percentage of the time, people feel hunger when they're
really just thirsty! I think that might be part of why the milk works so
well for me.
