Synthroid Aldactone which helps me more then average PCOSers because its being used to block adrenal hormones too. Metformin

I'm having a problem with weight as well (seem to stay within >320-340 lbs) and I keep getting different stories from Dr's. My regular

1200 calories is far too low. Thats nearly starvation and will kick down the metabolism far too low. You do need to eat. I have found for me at 6 feet of height around 2000-is the best. I of course dont do this everyday:) but the best thing is to try.....I gain weight when I diet too severely because I freak out from all the hunger and make up the food and then some!

The content of the diet is important too....though doctors will say not. The Diet Cure and the Shcharwbein Method--I know I have the spelling wrong have helped me big time. You want to eat as little processed foods as possible.

(severe PCOS being the big one right now). He said "there's >no 2 ways about it". I am really 2nd guessing this statement and am

PCOSers will gain weight on too little food. I notice this phenonmenon when younger, my weight would increase when I was starving. I do think you need to take the path of moderation. it will help by far. pay attention to nutrition as well as the calories.

I never have overate to even be as huge as I got. I maybe ate some things I shouldnt but it was hard for me to try and convince doctors I wasnt home inhaling food or going on binges, that I eat at normal intervals during the day.

I am really interested in knowing what medications you were given >for your weight. Nothing is being suggested to me (let alone offered)

Well in my case, getting off steroids, thyroid meds, the two PCOS ones and moving to a rural area to reduce stress worked to help get the weight off. I also have become a health food junkie. I cant really consider myself a success yet. I am still struggling with severe obesity so its strange that im giving diet advice...LOL when I outweigh everyone here by far...LOL

I am glad to be of help though in what could ever help. >
