Doctor" There is no way that inhaler can be causing you that degree of weight gain. You need to quit eating and pay attention to your diet. Flovent does not have enough steroids in it to cause any side effects like that. I know that for a fact. Youve been in the ER for asthma 4 times in the last 6 months, you need to stay on it or youll be dead" Me: Ok, I guess Ill stay on it. 1999. Doctor: I notice on your last Drs.orders you are supposed to be taking Flovent and Serevenet for your asthma too. I really think you should be taking those. Me: I quit taking those drugs and I wont take them. Doctor. You are endangering your life, your asthma is so severe. Me: I have Singulair. Doctor: thats not enough. I went on to give him a bunch of documentation on cortisteroids and steroids. Now Im ordered not to even use steroid based skin cream. When I read the fine print on the Flovent insert. I saw Cushings printed as a rare side effect under the endocrine system. It does happen. I wont take steroids. I dont care. I would literally have to be on deaths door near a respirator.
