Ann have you seen my posts on here. I gained 350lbs plus in 28 months. I was on Flovent during most of this. I know I had steroid induced Cushings. I had PCOS before lost period at age 21 never diagnosed. Having both these conditions and hypothyroidism almost killed me. IN fact I had ulcers all over my body and quit the Flovent without the doctors persmission. I probably would have gained to a 1000lbs if I had continued taking that sh#t. I actually HAVE BOTH conditions. I have a Buffalo Hump and even after I was off of FLovent I have gotten in arguments with my doctor about having CUshings. I never have gotten a pit MRI cant lie flat and breathe but all the cortisol tests come out low. I actually still have hyperadrenalism otherwise even now. Its blamed on having a polyglandular condition. My PCOS is so severe that doctor has called it one of the worse cases in the country and told me even with fertility treatments I will never have children. I remember doctors lying to me about prednisone and FLovent which I was on and off for years for asthma. I know that crap worsened my preexisting endocrine conditions and I nearly had a nervous breakdown myself. Id be in a mental hospital now except for the fact I had a very loving and supportive husband and God to get me through. I am also diagnosed with PTSD from gaining so muchn weight so fast and going from 240lbs for years at 6 feet tall to over 630lbs. i went from a normal life at age 26 to disabled by age 29...Im turning 33 this year. Steroids can mess people up pretty badly. I think my steroid use worsened my preexisting conditions. . I havent been on any steroids since 1996 when I quit taking them against doctors protests...I have a paper in my purse even refusing steroids unless I am near death that I carry on me in case of a severe asthma attack becuase I know any weight regain above 450lbs from a steroid shot and I will be dead. This weight has made my body really suffer. I had no doctors to sue. I saw so many....I tried to pursue a case against one for the misdiagnosis of the PCOS and thyroid but no lawywer would take it. I hope you can sue. I have contacted all my old doctors and left many speechless with how they screwed up including one at the Center for Advanced Medicine in Chicago with PCOS clinic right next door. They were more interested in selling WLS. I do feel for you and related alot to your post. Go on Singulair for asthma. Its kept me out of the ER for years and its not steroidal.
