transvaginal ultrasounds

Hi all,

I am going in for a transvaginal ultrasound (my doc calls it a vaginal-probe ultrasound, I don't like the sound of anything with the words vaginal and probe put together). I have heard a little bit about this procedure...but I am wondering if any of ya'll have experienced this...if so how uncomfortable is it, and is it possible to have cysts on your ovaries and not have them show up on this kind of ultrasound?

Thanks in advance to all those who reply -- and feel free to email me privately if you prefer.
