Anyone here have PCOS without the excess hair? From: Bippette (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 7 Aug 2001 09:39:55 -0500 (CDT)
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease (Autoimmune System killed my own thyroid) two years ago. I miscarried a baby before I knew I had the Disease. I struggled with a year of infertility after we lost the baby. During that year OPKs always showed two lines no matter what time of the month. I was never able to get pg, and eventual divorced my first husband. Now I'm remarried. I have been charting, checking cervical fluids, etc for three months. My temps are low and flat...no rises. And I only have sticky cervical fluid. But the OPK showed two dark lines that did get darker towards cd14. Anyway, I really don't think I'm ovulating. Someone suggested that if OPKs are positive and I'm not ovulating that it might be PCOS. I am significantly overweight...I always assumed it was the thyroid, and have not been very successful at weight loss even though my TSH is normal on meds. I do not have facial hair, male pattern baldness or any of those symptoms.
