Andrea, WELCOME! (hugs) Wow, I am glad you're getting into a doctor, the sooner the better--huh. It sure sounds like you could have pcos, especially if you have elevated insulin levels...I know it can be frustrating waiting for your doctor's apotinment, I have been waiting for a month now for my next appointment and am very impaitent.

It must be difficult to have such long periods. I haven't heard of that being before--I know a lot of women, myself included, will have really heavy periods longer than normal, like maybe two weeks, but not seven--OMG you poor dear. I have heard of that in relation to endometriosis though...and I know there seem to be a lot out there who have both pcos AND endometriosis. I would be interested to know what your endo says...keep us posted.

Love and Good Health,
