Re: Angry - and need supportFrom: Monica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 3 Aug 2001 00:19:57 -0500 (CDT)
kathleen, Boy do I know how you feel!!!! I am soo angry today too with too many docs!! I am not insilun resistant and had I found out I had pcos alot sooner I may not be today. I am sure I would have had this taken care of better. I started showing symptoms and had docs tell me oh its your hormones and DID nothing!! NEver tested me for ANYTHING!! and you know its not just stuff like that. i am soo ticked off at my daugthers old doc!! She has to have her adnoids removed and he said she should have had them out 4 years ago!! Tahts when I first took it to her doc. He even missed diagosing a few things. So we changed docs and now thankfully she will get her adnoids taken care of before things get worse for her!!! OOPs sorry got sidetracked. But hey wanted you to know you are NOT alone!! I have been taking glucophage for over a year now. I wasn't getting anywhere far with my treatment so I changed docs and my new endocrinologist is doing more for me. I have LOTS of questions to ask him about things I have heard about on here and such. anyway, sorry this got soo long. I am not an expert but wanted you to know you are NOT alone!! ANd Most of us have pretty good luck with taking glucophage to help with the insilun resistance and it can also help to lose weight. I know others have better suggestions too. GOOD luck to you.
