Heather, First let me say "Welcome!" Now let me say that I am still really new to all of this, but here are my thoughts: First of all PCOS is kind of a misleading name. You can have pcos without cysts on your ovaries, and vice versa, you can have cysts with out having pcos, I know, it's confusing. You may want to have your doctor test your insulin levels after fasting for 12 hours and also your testosterone levles (total and "free"). PCOS is thought now to be caused by Insulin Resistance which causes abonormally high levels of testosterone. Secondly, Even though your blood tests from your 2nd doctor may have been in the "normal" range, it's the ratio that is important. I can't remember exactly what the hormones are off the top of my head (maybe someone else can help me out and fill that part in) but there are two hormones that you can test for and even if they are both in the "normal" range, if one is a lot higher than the other it can be an indicator that you do have pcos. I too have horrible pelvic pain. I am not sure if that is caused by the pcos or if it is possibly caused by endometriosis (my doc is going to do a laporscopic surgery to find out, I think). Ok..I've probably rambled on too long so I'll stop.. but just let me say that you should definatley have your new doctor do some more blood work and see what's up. Also, this message board is incredible I have learned so much! Hope this has helped! ****HUGS**** Amanda
