Here is my 2 cents on lactating when not pregnant. It happened to me
to. When? 2 years before I ever became pregnant my boyfriend (ex)
thought he'd like to experiment by putting a clothes pin on my nipple.
(Don't try this at home, hurts like the devil) Anyway, out comes milky
stuff. Not a lot and it was really thick. For a few months after this
I could make this happen by squezing my nipple between my fingers.
I went to see my OB and primary, this wasn't right. First I was told
this is not "breast milk" but Colstrum? the pre breast milk stuff. Also,
my OB sent me for a Cat scan to make sure my pituatary Gland was okay.
This condition when not pregnant can be a sign of a tumor there.
Everything was fine.
I got pregnant, quite a shock at the time, in 1997. This was at a time
I was still wondering if I even could get pregnant - but was also prior
to my PCOS diagnosis.
Here is the kicker - My "Breast milk" never came in. Never, not prior
or after my son being born.
Good thing I didn't want to breastfeed.
Good luck & I think it is worth mentioning to your Dr. for anyone not
pregnant and experiencing this condition.
