Depression........ St. John's Wort?

Hi all. I've been really down in the dumps lately and everyone around me is suffering for it, especially my dh. We've been fighting so much and all I do is cry. I don't feel like talking to anyone, but my job requires it so when I come home I just want to go to bed, I could sleep forever if he'd let me. Worst is, yesterday he accused me of blaming everything on PCOS when really I'm just a b**** and should just admit it. I am not myself and need to get out of this funk that I am in. Putting on a show for everyone is so tiring and I just can't keep it up - I even snapped at my grandmother the other day. Everything gets to me lately - the extra weight, no energy, no appetite lately, the acne, fingernails, my hair isn't even nice anymore and that was one thing I always had... the not ovulating, but that doesn't matter since my hubby has said he doesn't even know if we should have kids anymore because I treat him so badly and we can't get along as it is. I need help... I'm in the process of checking out psychs in my area and what my insurance covers but I don't know what to do in the meantime.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. My real question is has anyone tried St. John's Wort supplements for mood/depression and have they helped? Are they even safe to take with Met? I need to try something fast. Welcome to suggestions for anything else that has worked.

Thanks again, Bubba
