Re: Cuticle question...From: Zowie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 29 Jul 2001 21:15:42 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, Thought I'd add my 2¢ on nails. My nails look almost like wood---they have a vertical grain to them--but they are certainly NOT strong as wood. When I had my nails done a few months ago, the woman told me that it was some sort of deficiency. I don't know if she was right or not, but the problem has been evident since I transferred here---within a year. My nails are soft, bendable and just weak. I've been experimenting with nail hardeners and am happy with this Revlon stuff I have (it's kinda purpleish--can't remember the exact name), but I found it at a dollar store, so it may be discontinued. It's hard to remove though--no matter what nail polish remover I try (I still have some spots on my nails that have refused to come off), but it does it's job. I don't know what's up with this "grain" I have going, but thought I'd share my nail story with you all. --Zowie :)
