Re: Make-out sessions causing period

To Anon: I will hazard a guess or two.

First this is probably not a causal relationship. Most likely, a few days before your period starts, you have a hormornal surge that increases your sex drive. You end up making out. A few days later, your period begins, but the make-out session didn't cause the menstrual flow. This is probably what a doctor would tell you.

The idea that having sexual activity that gets you excited on a regular basis can help regulate your hormones makes anecdotal sense, but I doubt it would hold up under testing. Too many married women having regular sex still have problems with their menstrual cycles. Whether or not they are responding to the sex with right release of endorphins, etc....I don't know.

By the way, I don't think you're crazy. I've wondered whether getting hot and heavy could be good for your physical health. I'm not a doctor, and I have no idea whether this has been studied, but I doubt it.
