I started going a couple of months after my 15th birthday and it took them a little over a year to figure out what was wrong. My doc had to call other doc's around the country to get their opinion on my "case". So the fact that they are testing you for PCOS is a good sign that your Doc. knows what is going on. And you are very fortunate there. And being 17 myself, I know how important it is to have another person your age to talk to about it. I know when I didn't know of any other teens with PCOS I felt alone and scared and so different from everyone else. I mean, in my mind, the only people that had it were women in their 30's who were married, because that was the only age group that were really discussed. But just know you are not alone and you ARE NOT worthless. Feel free to email me anytime and I will be more than happy to write with you. Anjy CelticDaisy@hotmail.com "Live to love and love to live."
