PCOS and GallbladderFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 29 Jul 2001 02:09:57 EDT
Just me again! :) In 1997 I had my gallbladder removed because I had several attacks. I have never seen anything written about this being a link to PCOS, but who knows? I have read in several places about gallbladder problems being related to quickly loosing and gaining weight (especially in teen years, and then by the time you are in your 20's you start having gallbladder attacks). Anyone else out there go through this? By the way, I just sort of jumped in here last week and started posting... I guess I should introduce myself... My name is Christine Enedy, I am 30. I was diagnosed and started on meds for PCOS when I was about 24 (the pill and spironolactone). I also have anxiety (panic attacks) and depression problems which I am on Paxil and xanax for as well as alergy problems (which I am also on meds for). Recently, I had my fasting glucose checked, and my Dr. is going to start me on metformin (sp?) on Aug. 1. I feel like the pill poppin' queen of the universe! I can't believe how much my "problems" sound like the rest of yours! Recently I have been tired a lot too... it's the WORST! I hope once my sugar is regulated more that the tiredness will disapate too. I could go on forever, but I'll shut up! :) -Christine U2Rox@aol.com
