Hi to everyone!! I was just diagnosed on wednesday with PCOS. I have had problems with my cycles for 16 years now. I was told over and over again that if I would just lose weight my menstrual cycles would return to normal. I was given birth control pills, dieting advice and sent out the door. I finally found a doctor that listened to what I have to say and realize now that it's not all just in my head, it is a real condition and that I'm not alone in the struggle. I have a supportive husband which really helps, but he doesn't understand my struggles, my feelings that I am defective and my fear that I may never have control over my body. I am so glad I have found you all and am finding a lot of good advice in reading the archives. If I can be a sounding board to anyone please feel free to let me know. Gods blessings and good luck to everyone.
