Good things can happenFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 27 Jul 2001 22:03:45 -0500 (CDT)
I was "officially" diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries about 18 months ago. Since I knew I wanted to get pregnant in the future, I didn't want to take any "questionable" drugs or have surgery that may reduce any chances of getting pregnant. I knew however that I would probably have to take fertility drugs to help get pregnant when the time came. I took Prometrium every other month to induce bleeding so my uterus lining wouldn't build up thus possibly causing cancer. For one year, I would bleed only after taking the medicine, every other month. This year, I took the drug in January ONLY. From February to June I had a period every month on schedule. Cured? Probably not, but a time of a sort of remission. The good news is that I got pregnant!!!!!!! No drugs, no surgery!!!!!!! I really did not think it would happen.
