Emma, I feel such empathy for you I know how you feel (((((HUGS))))) I agree with all of the other postings regarding your posting. Get a new doctor girlfriend! I went to 3 doctors after knowing about pcos and asking them specifically about it and was dismissed 3 different times, not to mention countless doctors that I went to while I was younger and had no idea pcos was out there. Arm yourself with information. Print out articles and information that you find in medical journals (the one mentioned in the earlier reply sounds perfect for you) and show them to your doctor. You at LEAST deserve to have the tests done to find out whether or not you have pcos, and it sounds to me like you very well could. Just know that we understand and are here for you!
