Anyone else experience this?

I was diagnosed with PCOS last month and my doc put me on Dessogen. I just started my first period after going on the Dessogen and the first I have had in 6 months. For the first three days it was just brown spotting, but on the fourth day, I woke up with the worst cramps I had ever had. Before, I got cramps that were usually fairly mild or occassionaly moderate. But nothing that was so bad I couldn't work. I would just suck it up and get through the first day and then I'd be fine. But Friday morning I awoke feeling some very intense cramps. I told everyone I didn't want to be bothered that day because they felt really bad and I didn't want to have to move or mess with anyone anymore than I had to. My mom, bless her heart, offered to run to the store and pick me up some midol and finally I agreed. While she was gone, the cramps intensified more and more to the point where I had constant pain on both my back and my front. No position was comfortable. Then suddenly I got sharp pains and came and went, one being so bad it felt like my uterus was being split opened. Now I have never had any children so I don't know from first hand experience what labor feels like, but several of my friends have had children and they described labor just as I felt it, exactly. Finally, mom arrived with the midol and after about an hour, my cramps were pretty much gone.

I am scheduled to see my doctor for a follow up visit on the 13th. I plan to mention the cramps to her then. I figured I would have some cramping that hurt more than usual, but I never counted on cramps that felt so painful!

Has anyone else experienced this?
