Hi, I am now 8 weeks pregnant, and due for my next laser treatment, but I can't find anything that says whether it is safe during preganacy in the way electrolysis is - anyone know? Also, I posted a few weeks ago as my pregnancy was a bit miraculous after years of medication and no ovulation, plus husband with fertility problems. We were due to find out about ICSI last week(!), but one episode of irresponsibility and I am pregnant!! Anyway,I was really worried about the baby as I was on spironolactone 100mg daily. Both my GP and endocrinologist have said this is really unlikely to harm the baby in any way as I stopped it as soon as I found out, which we now know was 5 weeks, and male genital formation does not start until at least 8 weeks. Neither doctor believed termination should be considered which was a great relief to me as, after so much heartache to get pregnant, I could not consider terminating a very much wanted baby. On the down side, both doctors have said to stay off metformin, and this week I was in hospital with a threatened miscarriage which, fortunately, came to nothing and a scan showed the foetal heartbeat to be present!
