Hi there everyone!
I just had over 30 skin tags removed almost 2 weeks ago.
I dont have insurance, but was told it wouldnt have been covered anyhow.
So for 100.00 bucks, I had them all taken off.
For the smaller ones, she just snipped them off, really didnt feel a
thing.
I had a few large ones that she had to numb first with novacaine, that
was a bit annoying due to the burning sensation of the novacaine.
Other than that it was relatively pain free.
I can't begin to tell you how good it made me feel when they were
removed. For years I was afraid to wear my hair up because i had them
all over the back of my neck... But now .. they are no more:)

It doesn't really hurt--feels sort of hot instead of cold, actually. They fall off a few days later (gross, I know!). You might have to have this done periodically because they can recur months or even years later. I've heard that they occur primarily in areas where there is a lot of friction, although this might be an old wives tale. I've also heard that they are caused by a virus. Who knows?! If your insurance covers dermatologist visits, it'll probably cover the procedure. I'm not sure if there is another more medical term for them. I've only heard 'skin tags'. Good luck!
