I am not sure what is causing the pain. I don't beilieve a released egg should cause this much pain, especially considering that a woman should release an egg every month. As for the met and PCOS, Metformin is the drug that is often prescribed for PCOS. Most of the women on this board are on Met. There is a ton of information out there about PCOS on the internet. If you search the archives on this board you should be able to find some links. Good Luck, and may I say that it is very touching to see you on this board trying to help your wife. You must love her very much and for that, you are both blessed.
