Katrina & Terrie - cystsFrom: Chris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Jun 2001 16:46:57 +1000
Dear Katrina, Maybe you are one of the unlucky ones who manages to have both cysts and follicles on the ovary - bummer!! Is it known if they are corpus luteal cysts from ovulation? I am also one of the uncommon ones who get cysts when I ovulate which isn't very often. My theory is that because the outer shell of the ovary is thickened it is harder for the egg to push through. i have just returned today from a stay overnight in the local hospital for pain relief for the same thing! It seems Terrie also has the same problem. there isn't much you can do for cysts that naturally go away, just take pain relief and ride it out. Sometimes surgery is needed for cysts that don't go away by themselves. Emma
