a question...and some info...From: Katrina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 25 Jun 2001 19:45:29 -0500 (CDT)
Hello all...Kristy introduced me to this web page. (thank you)... What exactly is PCOS and how are you diagnosed with it. I mentioned it once to a family dr. and she srugged it off and said not to worry about it. I suffer from multiple ovarian cysts constantly. They rupture before anyone can do anything about it. I am taking codiene to diminish some of the pain and to help me sleep. I was on Birth Control Pills for 4 years and now am currently on the Depo-Provera injections. Will this injection be beneficial for me? Also, is anyone on Metformin (Generic Name for Glucophage) and if so...why? and what does it do to help PCOS? Thank you all for listening (reading) my message.
