"Striae induced by prolonged systemic steroid use are usually larger and wider than other phenotypes of striae and involve widespread areas occasionally including the face."

This is the only reference I saw to striae on the face, it's from http://www.emedicine.com/derm/topic406.htm, which is actually a good overview. It seems to say that extensive stretch marks are highly indicative of a steroid problem, like you would see in (as your endo pointed out) adrenal problems. I can't wait to see what your tests say when they come back - am very interested now!
