Hi. This is my first time here and I need some opinions & advice. I am seeing an RE in a couple of weeks because I am not ov'ing. In the meantime I have stumbled upon this site and suspect I may have pcos. I have always been chubby or even obese, but about two years ago I started picking up weight above the belt. This was really weird because I had never had weight there even at my largest. Back in 1997 my hair started falling out. I don't mean a hair here or there. I literally lose tons of hair each day. My hair used to be so thick you could hardly get a brush through it. Now I can't even pull it back without it falling right back down b/c it is so thin. In Jan. of this year my dr. put me on med. for anxiety, xanex. It seemed like I was always on the edge and ready to go off at any given time. My skin on my arms and legs are incredibly dry, regardless of the fact that I exfoliate and apply lotion daily. For the past six months or so I have experienced acne (I never have had acne in my whole life), underarm hair growth (went from shaving underarms 3 times a week to every single day). I do not have the excessive hair growth on face and arms like I have been hearing about. Do most people with pcos have the hair growth? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
