Re: chance or not?From: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 20 Jun 2001 14:28:38 -0500 (CDT)
Jen- I believe with all my heart the mood swings are related! My hubby used to joke that I would get irritated when air touched me! lol... he wasn't far from the truth though, I would get so on edge it felt like my nerves were on the outside of my skin - I would also spend hours crying in my room for no reason really. I was lucky enough though that glucophage worked like a miracle drug for me. Mood swings, GONE! Along with a lot of other junk (cravings, insomnia, fatigue, etc). It's horrible to feel that way all the time. I know how it is too to not get the help you need because you just don't feel like having another doctor look at you "that" way and condescendingly tell you what he thinks you need when he really has no idea. But you owe it to yourself to get healthy - call around and find a doc familiar with PCOS and it's treatment and go see them! And if you don't like how they are treating you then go see another! You shouldn't have to continue to go through this. Susan C.
