Skin tages can be removed by the dermatologist in a regular office visit.  They just go all over your body looking for them and freeze them right off.  It doesn't really hurt--feels sort of hot instead of cold, actually.  They fall off a few days later (gross, I know!).  You might have to have this done periodically because they can recur months or even years later.  I've heard that they occur primarily in areas where there is a lot of friction, although this might be an old wives tale.  I've also heard that they are caused by a virus.  Who knows?!  If your insurance covers dermatologist visits, it'll probably cover the procedure.  I'm not sure if there is another more medical term for them.  I've only heard 'skin tags'.  Good luck!

Much love, Regan
