The "hysterosalpingogram" also known as dye through the tubes was not any morep painful than the cramping I get during my period. I took advil or ibuprofen about an hour before the test. The cramping didn't start until after the test was over with and by the end of the day it stopped. The dye did "open" one of my tubes that was "kinked," however, I have not been able to get pregnant with this procedure, the laparoscopy or the Clomid. Right now, I've accepted the fact that I can be the greatest Aunt and Godmother ever, enjoy life and pray that miracles happen (though while on BCP for this PCOS) the pregnancy would be a REAL miracle!!! LOL Good luck Srpowers1994 -- don't worry about the pain... think POSITIVELY that you are that much closer to being a mom!
