Hello, I was told by my OBGYN that I have PCOS. I was hoping that you ladies can help clear up some question for me. I was told that PCOS mostly shows up in young girls but I am 34 years old. I went to the doctors because of 2 maybe 3 missed peiods. blood work was done and everything was normal except my testosterone was at 130...is that really high? also I have been reading the forums and have ssen that the weight and hair growth/loss is a big problem with this. I was wondering what is in store for me now. I am 5'3" and have always fought my weight and now am at 190 lb. so my question is should I expect my hormone levels to change and also start gaining MORE weight and have hair problems???!! :( Can anyone tell me the % or guessamate the chances of having the extra weight and hair problems with PCOS? And also is there a lot of you ladies out there that got this in your 30's like me? One more question please...Is there a way or chance that the hormones like testosterone going back to normal. Someone told me since my other blood levels were perfect I shouldn't have problems losing weight, is that correct and can it change on me. PLEASE help answer these question ladies. I'm at my witends and cannot stop crying. I took my last provera yesterday and spotted very little...not even enough to use a pad yet. Thank you for the vent time...
