Re: Hair regrowth?From: Beth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 4 Jun 2001 16:11:57 -0500 (CDT)
Debbie, Have you taken any aspirin/Tylenol/Advil type products? Aspirin is acknowledged as an otc med that causes Spiro to be less effective. It has been my personal experience that the others cause it to be too, at least for me. I will lose hair or have a bit of a breakout. I also find that otc cold/sinus pills interfere too, I'm assuming it's the "pain" meds in it. Hair regrowth seems to take quite a while for me. It took about 7 months for me to see some regrowth at 200mg of Spiro. Again the above things set me back should I need them, but I try to suffer for a while before giving in LOL. Anyhow the regrowth isn't earth shattering but it is noticeable. I don't know how Glucophage fits into the picture. I am regulating my insulin levels with diet right now. I'm sure someone else can be more helpful!
