Pray for me, I waxed my moustache last night

All right, so that's a goofy title. :-)

I don't have MUCH of a moustache, in that it's A. blonde and B. fine hair... but it's LONG, so if you look close, you can definitely see it. I first noticed this in the fall of '98, I believe... I was washing my hands in the bathroom before Philosophy and I looked in the mirror (don't ya love harsh bathroom lighting conditions? I wonder how many egos have been crushed in public restrooms?) and thought, Good lord, has it always looked like that??? So every now and then (like, 3 times a year) I wax it off. I don't really NEED to, since you really can't see it unless your right in my face, but every now and then it makes me feel prettier. The thing is, every time I do it, I fear that next time, it will come back thicker/darker, and I should have left it alone! Well, so far, it never has... but you never know. :)

I am hoping that this time could be the true test of "Is my hair problem really decreasing?" I guess I'll have my answer in a few weeks. :-)

And OH, for what it's worth... people have said here, and I have read, that using epilators (like my loved/hated silk epil) can worsen hair problems by strengthening the root and twisting the hair follicle, etc... Does anyone know whay this is? If waxing is supposed to make hair come back lighter, and in my case, actually seems to have started doing so now that I've been treating my whacked out hormones, why do epilating devices make it worse? They still pull the hair straight back and out like waxing does... this seems so strange to me! (It really was wax I used on my lip, not the epilator. Well, it was Nair sugaring wax... the fastest, easiest, most effective thing for me...)
