The first time I took Provera after not having a period for 6 months, I bled furiosly for about 2 1/2weeks, was wearing both a pad and tampon (both heavy duty) and was still having to change those frequently. Also, like you - the clotting was very heavy and it scared me a little so I talked to my doc and she said that it was o.k., that was to be expected after going so long without AF. And don't feel bad about asking any kind of questions here on the board! Honey just read through our archives and see some of the doozies we've come up with in the past-lol. This too shall pass ;-) Susan C.
