positive side effects? (kinda long) :-)From: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 May 2001 15:55:54 -0500 (CDT)
OK, OK.. so I know that almost all of you are on Met. I no longer ask why, I just happily sit back and accept that I was placed on Actos for whatever reason. Here's a couple of nifty side effects I have noticed. For the last year, the heel of my hands (the outside area of your palms) have been really rough, dry, scaly (you get the idea). Sometimes it would be worse than at other times. Well, I have been on Actos now for 7 weeks and I swear, my skin looks about 1000% better. I never expected that... but woo-hoo, I'll take it! :-) Also, the red bumps (Jodi's famous thread) seem to be *almost* gone. Again, this could be a number of things. I also tan (please, no lectures about the harmful rays...LOL) so maybe that's doing some good. I heard once that sunbeds are therapeutic for people with psoriasis. Interesting. Have you Met-sters noticed anything like this?
-- Michelle (who no longer worries that she talks too much since she'll never out-talk *or out type* Jodi) LOL.
