I can imagine your sister would have felt a bit cheated! Weird but I can see her point very well. Adoption has its own set of challenges but so does natural biological parenthood. Ideally Pete and I would love to have a blended family: some biological kids, some adopted. It's how I grew up and my mother and cousins did too. It has worked out pretty well, at least for us!
