Hi and welcome to you karen! I hope you find a lot of good info here!
The best site I have seen so far for info about Met and pregnancy is

sure to read all the updates as well!
Your doctor seems misinformed about PCOS if she thinks Metformin is
experimental! We have all heard that before, it's a load of cr*p,
really. It's a doctor who hasn't read a medical journal in some time,
is what it is! :) If you really like this woman on a personal level,
print out a lot of info about Metformin and bring it in to her, see if
she will read it. If you haven't got anything holding you to her, by
all means find a new doctor. You wouldn't for a second stay with a
mechanic who wouldn't fix your car or an accountant who lost your money.
This is a professional you hire, just like any other. It's strange how
it seems so weird but you're well within your rights to move on!
