BCPs and lower risk for disease

I am 20 years old and was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17. The only symptom I really experienced was irregular periods. I have been on birth control pills ever since. Since I am on birth control am I still at greater risk for heart disease, cancer, and diabetes than other women? Or am I o.k.? If I am still at greater risk for those diseases then what can I do to decrease the risk to normal? If someone could get back to me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
