metforminFrom: Juli (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 27 May 2001 01:24:13 -0500 (CDT)
hello all my husband and i just went to a fertility specialist a few days ago and she tagged me as being "a classic PCOS case". i go back at the end of next month (the earliest i could get in for blood tests) with a follow up appointment a week later to discuss the results. she said that she also had PCOS. that made it so much more comforting to me. i have been married and trying to become pregnant for just over 3 years now. it has been so frustrating for both of us. we just recently moved to montana and new jobs (with insurance). right now i am crying over my own frustration over my situation, all of your frustrations, and all of your joys. just reading the posts has been so inspiring to me. i have gone on for years just thinking of how gross i felt compared to all of my friends. i am still young, (i like to think 22 is still young, but i work at mcdonalds with a bunch of high school kids who call me old!) but am just dying to hold a newborn of my own before my life is half over already. it is so comforting to here that i am not alone. thank you. all of you. now to my question! i hear alot of you talk about metformin. but my doctor never mentioned it. she only mentioned the glucophage. she did give me alot of pamphlets and stuff for me to read over and study before my next appointment and that is how i found this site. so what is the difference between glucophage and metformin and is one newer than the other? juli
