Yasmin was aproved by the USFDA on 5/14From: faye (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 24 May 2001 00:38:48 -0500 (CDT)
Hi everyone. My first time posting even though I have been lurking for some time. I am a typical PCOS mis diagnosed and left to suffer for the last 15 years. After seeing another Dr. I was once again told no they wouldnt do a hysterectomy and I should take stronger pain pills and a new BCP called Yasmin. I have been on every other medication for PCOs at one time or the other with no relief, I wont list them, you all know them already. Two main questions I need to know, the main ingrediants in Yasmin are Drospirenone, ethinyl estradol. Is this what is in the medications such as Diane-35 that are not available in the U.S? I have heard good things about it.?? Question 2. Does anyone out there know of any nationwide pharmacy that now has Yasmin? If not, does anyone know how to find out when it will be released to pharmacies?? Thanks for all your support even though you didnt know you gave it. Faye.
