BCPs suppress ovarian activity. This can help with the overproduction of testosterone and will also stop/limit the development of cysts on the ovaries.less testosterone can mean less unwanted hair, acne etc.. Also it is true that regular menstruation does significantly reduce risks for uterine cancer. Not a cure-but a big help for some women, especially those who don't get complete relief with insulin sensitizers.
