Re: am I fatFrom: jodi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 22 May 2001 08:54:00 -0500 (CDT)
'ello Nikki! I got my copy online. you can go to amazon directly, but i got mine from conceiving concepts which is linked to the http://www.pcosupport.org website. (look at the menu choices on the left of the screen, scroll down to the CC link...) If you buy from them, a portion of the money goes somewhere useful- i forget exactly where just now. :) The PCOSA maybe? It will tell you on the site... your dinner for last night sounds pretty good. i am not a ham-eater, so i can't say much about ham... i think you might need to make sure the kind you use does not contain a lot of sugar. doesn't ham contain sugar sometimes? by corn crisps do you mean corn chips? those lovely, salty, greasy, fried corn do-dads? if that's your bigest weakness, i wouldn't worry too much. we all have our downfalls. the amount of fat in those things possibly makes them a better choice, from a glycemic index point of view, than, say, fat free pretzels!!! if you only have a little bag once in a while, it shouldn't hurt you. it will probably even help you by making you feel less deprived and still able to enjoy special treats! (that's my point of view, at least. i think that if you give up all the good stuff, you're bound to either fail or feel resentful. you might start working on replacing your weaknesses with healthier choices, but i wouldn't try giving up all the things you love all at the same time, cold turkey.) - jodi
