Paula, Thanks for the advice. I guess I can try to eat the way I used to (mostly carbs, and feeling really horrible all the time). I just hope the doctor will listen to me. Supposedly she's going to be at a conference all next week so I can't talk to her until next Friday at the earliest. She seems very competent, and was somewhat friendly, but as has been my experience with so many doctor's visits, I barely got to talk with her at all (approximately 5 minutes). She just wanted to do the bloodwork before she spent any more time on me. She didn't even want to know about my symptoms. I haven't taken the bcp since last tuesday. I really messed it up and ended up getting a second period a week after my first one ended. I've decided I'm not going to take the bcp until I get a real diagnosis. I want to give my body a chance to go back to its normal state. I'm just upset that I have to put off treatment. I'm devastated by the hair loss in particular (I've been coping with the weight, hairiness, and other symptoms for years). I've been so excited these last two weeks by the prospect of actually finding out what is wrong with my body. I'm so disappointed the test results say everything is fine :(
