All test results came back normal :(

I'm so depressed. My new RE's nurse just called me and said all my test results came back normal. I'm not surprised. I knew this would happen. The problem is, I'm sure I have PCOS. The dermatologist I recently saw said my hair loss pattern is hormonal and indicative of PCOS. Two gynecologists have told me I have PCOS (but that the only treatment was BCPs and to lose weight). I am obese (with the majority of my fat in my belly). I have acne when I'm not taking BCPs (though I never had acne as a teenager). I have excess hair on my upper lip, jawline, chin, belly, pubic area, and upper thighs. I have horrible bouts of hypoglycemia if I eat refined carbs or carbs without protein and fat. I don't ovulate at all (I've done lots of ovulation test kits). I get periods approximately once every 4 months. I even have A.N. under my breasts, on my neck, in my armpits, skinfolds, and groin. Most of these areas haven't seen sunlight in years! Part of the reason I'm not surprised my test results (esp. insulin:glucose ratio) came back fine is that I eat a really healthy diet. I rarely eat refined carbs, I balance my carbs with protein and fat, I don't eat any animal products (hence I don't get all the extra hormones or cholesterol, among other things), and I eat mostly organic food. My diet has thrown off other test results (because I'm so obese, I am expected to have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, but because of my diet [IMHO], they're excellent). So, one thing I'm wondering is whether my diet could be altering some of my other results too (for example, I don't have any animal estrogen or testosterone in my diet, so maybe my numbers are really different from the average PCOS patient that eats animal products). Also, I'm really concerned that my recent use of a birth control pill could have interfered with me getting a proper diagnosis. I told the doctor that I took birth control pills Monday and Tuesday of last week (the bloodwork was done Friday), but she said that wouldn't cause a problem. I took another four weeks of pills during the month before that (I took them for a cycle, got my period, took 5 days' worth, decided I didn't want to be on them, so stopped for 3 days, then took four pills in two days because I freaked out about my skin getting bad again). Couldn't this have messed up my results? I'm also concerned that any cysts I may have had could have cleared up with the BCPs. I'm really upset that I'm not getting the treatment I believe I need, and I'm not willing to give up. The nurse said I'm just supposed to go back on the BCP and the doctor wants to see me in 6 months. I'm not willing to go back on the BCPs until I get my problem figured out. I guess my main question is, does anyone know how long it takes the body to get back to its normal state after being on birth control pills? I've asked that my test results be faxed to me so I have a better idea of what I'm dealing with. I really want to call and schedule another meeting with the RE. Any suggestions?
