Yes -- I agree with you that this will not cure the disorder -- but could help in managing it. And that is why I am interested in it. Just like diabetes there is not a cure but some people are able to manage it through diet.

The main thing that I have learned through my research is that my weight gain is in large part due to my PCOS. My engery is low and have border line high blood pressure -- is that because of the PCOS or because of the weight gain associated with the PCOS. It ends up being a vicious cycle.

I do not think that a person who takes drugs to manage this disorder is a weakling, everyone needs to decide what is the best course for themselves. But, I personnally do not like taking drugs and would like to see what other options are out there for me to manage this disorder.
