>My PCP gave me Glucophage XR @ 1000mg a day and It has lowered my levals down to normal(from 86 down to 18 in 6 months), so im not sure if 1500mg is necessary for all people...as far as the side affects go there really is not much of anything you can do but tough it out...ive been on gluco for about 6 months and the side affects are not as bad as they were before, when I had first started...I hope you can hang on because the results are worth the troubles. Take care of yourself...
