I was extremely constipated while on the 500 mg. After my body was used to it, I was told to up my dosage to two 500 mg pills a day00mg. Then upped it from there when it was time to do it again. Your doctor prescribed it the way that most of them do to start off with. I had to take mine at night time because I was worried about how it might affect me, and I knew I would be home during this time. I hope this post has helped in some way. Susan P.
