Zowie! I've read that too. And no, I am definitely NOT in that category. I read something on WebMD that did link it to IR and PCOS - Here's some of it: Miller-Keane Medical Dictionary, 2000 - Partial "lipodystrophy" lipodystrophy - a condition occurring especially in females in the first decade of life, characterized by a symmetrical loss of subcutaneous fat, usually beginning on the face and gradually extending to the chest, neck, back, and upper extremities, giving the lower part of the body an apparent, and possibly real, adiposity of the buttocks, thighs, and legs. Some affected patients develop insulin-resistant diabetes mellitus, triglyceridemia, and renal disease. congenital generalized "lipodystrophy" lipodystrophy - an autosomal recessive condition marked by the virtual absence of subcutaneous adipose tissue, large body size, splenomegaly, hirsutism, acanthosis nigricans, and reduced glucose tolerance in the presence of high insulin levels. ----------------------------------------- There was something esle but I can't find it right now. Anyways, I have ----------------------------------------- about a hundred emails into my Endo. ----------------------------------------- Talk to you soon - Michelle (you know that nerve right below your eye in that soft area under your lower lashes... it's been twitching for 4 days. Think that's a problem? LOL)
